Founded in 1944, Premier Ltd. was one of India’s first automobile manufacturers. Originally based in Mumbai, it now operates from a modern 27-acre facility in Chinchwad, Pune, handling R&D and manufacturing. Premier made its mark in the utility vehicle segment with the RiO, one of India’s most fuel-efficient compact SUVs, available in both petrol and diesel (CRDi4) variants. The company also manufactures the Roadstar, a 1.5-ton Light Commercial Vehicle (LCV), and the Sigma range for commercial applications.
